Graines de Paix puts Children’s Rights into practice at school

Grains of Peace enables teachers to teach children’s rights in an experiential way to pupils aged 4 to 12 through the Growing Up in Peace collection, school exhibitions (Ni hérisson, ni paillasson and Léon et ses émotions), and posters.

The NGO also works actively with Ministries and Departments of Education, through its training courses for inspectors, pedagogical advisors and teachers, to put the following Children’s Rights into practice in classrooms and schools:

The following rights are to be implemented at school:

  • The Right to Live in Peace – in the classroom, at school, and in life
  • The right to quality education that also teaches people to live in peace
  • The right to be protected from all forms of violence
  • The right to be protected from all forms of discrimination
  • The right to express one’s opinion, and have it received with consideration
  • The right to information for good health, and to specific care in the event of disability.
