The human right to peace

The human right to peace concerns both the right of the individual and the right of all citizens of a country, collectivity or community. Voting on this right is currently blocked by countries unwilling to recognize the obvious, namely the right to life, the first article of Human Rights (1948 UN Charter) (which these same countries voted for at the time). Many other countries, as well as NGOs, continue to push for this fundamental right.

Definition

The human right to peace is the inalienable right of all individuals, groups and peoples to life, dignity and peaceful coexistence.
