Eudemonics/Eudemonism

Eudemonic education – isn’t this the most important form of education of all? On the one hand, it characterizes education for a culture of peace, since the daily quest for peace is a goal in itself that brings meaning to students’ interactions. On the other hand, by inducing ethical behavior, this form of education promotes a completely different kind of living-together, one that is itself eudemonic. What’s more, by bringing meaning to students, eudemonic education would help reduce the risk of extreme radicalization, as this process tends to affect young people who feel empty of meaning and empty of the happiness that comes from acting with meaning.
