Biography:
Born in Paris to Congolese parents, whose father was a senior civil servant. The family lived in Brazzaville from 1977 to 1981, then moved to Strasbourg. Raised by his mother with his 6 brothers and sisters, he had a brilliant education, but drifted into delinquency and religious activism. He studied both philosophy and classics at Strasbourg's Université des Sciences Humaines. In 1988, he founded the rap group N.A.P (New African Poets), then immersed himself in Sufism, a spiritual form of Islam, turned away from extremism and became a committed militant for peace and living together.Publications:
