Biography:
Nordahl Grieg was born in Bergen, Norway, and his poetry is inspired by the travels he undertook after studying in Oslo and Oxford.
A well-known anti-Fascist, he wrote dramatic plays about national freedom.
During the Second World War, he joined the Resistance, then moved to London, where he continued to write.
He was killed in 1943, when his plane was shot down over Berlin.
