American psychologist who defined and developed the concept and practice of non-violent communication (NVC) from the 1960s onwards.
Biography:
After working for Carl Rogers and earning his doctorate, Rosenberg first devoted his practice to helping the psychologically wounded. He then focused on the needs of children with learning difficulties, culminating in his first book, Diagnostic teaching in 1968. His interest in education continued throughout his life: he helped schools in various US states in their efforts to integrate minorities. One of his latest books is Eduquer à la bienveillance (2004).
