Biography:
Tanaka has been involved with Rotary since 1975. In particular, he established an endowment fund to finance a Rotary Peace Fellowship for young people wishing to pursue university studies in the field of peace. He has held a number of leadership positions within Rotary, including as a Trustee of The Rotary Foundation from 2006 to 2010, where he also worked to eradicate polio.
