Each definition is presented in 2-3 levels:
- a simple, short definition that’s easy to understand and remember
- explanations to help you understand this definition
- more detailed comments, sometimes with one or more quotations.
The key themes defined are skills, forms of violence, pedagogies that contribute to peace, emotions and societal issues.
A number of terms are now included in the glossaries of the various volumes in the Growing Up in Peace Collection, and vice versa.
It’s an in-depth work, largely based on definitions specially developed by Graines de Paix for educational purposes and to promote a culture of peace.
