They worked and harvested together. They had everything in common. It all began with an unfortunate misunderstanding between them. But little by little, the gap widened, until one day&#8230; There was a heated argument between the two. A painful silence followed, lasting several months. One day, someone knocked on the son&#8217;s door&#8230;       <\/p>\n<p>He was a handyman looking for work.<br \/>Do you have any repairs to make?<br \/>Yes,&#8221; he replied, &#8220;I&#8217;ve got some work for you.<br \/>You see, across the creek lives my father.<br \/>A few months ago he seriously offended me and our relationship broke down.<br \/>I&#8217;m going to show him that I can do without him too.<br \/>See those stones next to my house?<br \/>I&#8217;d like you to build a two-metre-high wall, because I don&#8217;t want to see it anymore!<br \/>The man replied:<br \/>I think I understand the situation&#8230;<br \/>The son helped his visitor gather all the necessary equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Then he went on a trip, leaving him alone for a whole week.<br \/>A few days later, when he returned from his trip,<br \/>The handyman had already finished his work.<\/p>\n<p>But what a surprise!<\/p>\n<p>The son was totally distraught.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of a two-meter-high wall, he had built a magnificent bridge.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the father came out of his house and ran to his son, exclaiming:<br \/>&#8211; You&#8217;re really great!<br \/>Building a bridge after what I&#8217;ve done to you!<br \/>I&#8217;m proud of you and I&#8217;m sorry.<br \/>While father and son celebrated their reconciliation, the handyman gathered up his tools and left.<\/p>\n<p>No, wait&#8230; They told him.<br \/>There&#8217;s work for you here!<br \/>But he replied:<br \/>I&#8217;d love to stay, but I&#8217;ve still got other bridges to build. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let us build bridges between human beings to facilitate their reconciliation.<br \/>Let us never build walls of separation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Father and son lived off the fruits of their labors.
